Lovely and InexpensivePosted: November 1, 2011
These handmade earrings are mostly made of “alpaca” or nickel silver. Prices range from $12 for the inlaid crescents to $18 for the others. The great advantage of using nickel silver in jewelry is that it doesn’t tarnish. So, they stay shiny without using any elbow grease. These earrings come from two different places–the states of Guanajuato and Guerrero. There are a couple of sacred hearts (our most popular seller), some hands (remember Picasso gave Frida Kahlo hand earrings which she wears in several of her paintings), some ovals and then the inlaid arracada, a typical Mexican shape in earrings.
